Like if we were speed-dating, what would I tell you in three minutes or less?
Well, the first thing my husband and three daughters would tell you is that I've been married for thirty years and have no business speed-dating in the first place. That would be crucial. Besides that?
Here are my loves:
Words, wine, complaining, macaroni and cheese, cats, all-things-zen, alliteration, Dr. Suess, Austen, Yeats, anything celtic, writing, beach houses, history, and misusing punctuation as I see fit.
Here are my dislikes:
All rodents (especially rats) medications, anxiety, autoimmunity, vertigo, hair loss, bullies, slime, holidays, throwing up, and acupuncture needles placed in my belly button.
Other things you should know about me:
I'm a control freak; or perhaps I used to be before life's circumstances caused me to take a step back.
I suffer from an autoimmune disease called Sjogren's Syndrome.
My three daughters also suffer from autoimmune and rheumatological issues.
The above stinks.
I'm a bit of a couch potato and it shows.
I've learned that you can take the lady out of the church, but you can't take the church out of the lady.
St. Patrick's Day is the one exception to my hating holiday rule.
I have a burning desire to publish a book.
I sleep a lot.
I love a lot.
I hurt a lot.
I'm perhaps the only human alive who never saw The Titanic.
I may also be the only human still using an iPod.
I adore Tibetan Sing Bowl Meditations.
Both my cat and dog are perfect.
I'm a bit afraid of doctors.
I'm a bit afraid of everything.
And so I suppose that's it for the nutshell that I live it.
